Requirements for Eligibility are:

1. Currently living in sub-standard housing.
2. You must meet annual income guidelines.
3. Willingness to help build your own home as well as the homes of others. 
4. Ability to pay a low interest mortgage.
5. Lived in Mitchell or Yancey County for the last year.
6. Have a job or income to make monthly mortgage payments.
